Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies we use, what each category does, and how to change your choice.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site’s owners. This page also covers similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, tracking pixels, and device fingerprints.

2. Our categories

Essential cookies

These are always on. They are necessary for the website to function. For example, they remember your place in the intake questionnaire within a single session, protecting form submissions against cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and allowing our hosting provider to route you to the nearest healthy server. Because these are strictly necessary, PECR allows us to set them without consent.

  • cormeda_intake: stores your in-progress intake answers in sessionStorage so you can refresh without losing your place. Cleared when you close the tab.
  • cormeda_consent_v1: stores your cookie choice in localStorage so we don’t keep asking.
  • Short-lived session cookies set by our hosting and platform providers for routing and security.

Analytics cookies

With your consent, we use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site so that we can improve it. We look at the pages you visit, the features you interact with, and aggregated performance data. We do not sell analytics data to third parties.

  • PostHog: product analytics. Sets cookies such as ph_* (typically up to 12 months).
  • Google Analytics 4: web analytics. Sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* (typically up to 2 years).

Marketing cookies

With your consent, we use marketing cookies to measure the performance of our adverts and reach people who might benefit from our programme. These cookies may be set by our advertising partners on our behalf.

  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel: attribution and conversion measurement. Sets cookies such as _fbp and _fbc (typically up to 90 days).
  • Google Ads: conversion tracking and remarketing.

3. How we ask for consent

The first time you visit the site we show a cookie banner with three clear options: Accept all, Reject non-essential, and Customise. We do not set analytics or marketing cookies until you have made a positive choice. Essential cookies are set regardless, because the site cannot work without them.

Your choice is remembered in a cookie called cormeda_consent_v1. If you clear your browser storage or use a different browser or device, we will ask again.

4. How to change your choice

You can change your consent at any time:

  • On this site: use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page to reopen your preferences and change your choice at any time.
  • In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies per site, or for all sites. Search your browser’s help for “manage cookies”. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the intake questionnaire from working correctly.
  • Opt-out links for specific providers:

5. Changes to this policy

We review this policy when we add or remove a tracking tool, and in any case at least once a year. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent review.
